A drop, or a first price. A verified number falls below the last one we published, or something approved but unsold finally has a price.
YOU KNOW
An email with the number, its date and its source. Not a link to go and check, and not a summary. The figure itself, with what it rests on.
APPROVED, NEVER SOLD
Two drugs on our board are approved but have never been sold: Plosbrio and Poviztra. You can watch for the day their first price appears.
We know of nowhere else you can set that alert, and the reason is unglamorous: it means reading the approval database every week, on a drug that has no price to report and no news attached to it, for however many weeks it takes. An approval is a filing. A price is a product. The gap between them is the whole Canadian generic story, and it closes on a day nobody announces.

Setting an alert subscribes you to The Downtick, the twice-weekly brief. That is the trade, and it is stated here rather than discovered in the welcome email.
One unsubscribe link ends both. There is no separate alert-only setting to hunt for and no way to leave the brief while the alerts keep arriving, because a list you cannot fully leave in one click is not a list anyone consented to.

QUESTIONS
- What triggers a GLP-1 price alert?
- Two things. A verified price falling below the last figure we published, and a drug that had no verified price getting one for the first time. A price going up does not trigger an email, because that is not what readers asked to be told about. Every alert carries the new number, the date we verified it and the method we used.
- Can I set an alert on my specific dose?
- Yes. Every strength we hold a price for can be watched on its own, so an alert on Ozempic 2 mg tells you when that strength moves and stays quiet when a different one does. Leave the dose set to any and you get the cheapest verified price for the drug, whichever strength it is.
- Which GLP-1 drugs can I set a price alert on?
- All 10 drugs on the board: Ozempic, Wegovy, Wegovy pill, Sevmia, Apo-Semaglutide, Plosbrio, Poviztra, Zepbound, Mounjaro and Foundayo. 7 of them have a verified price today; the rest are watchable for the day a first price appears.
- Can I get a price alert for a drug that has no price yet?
- Yes, and it is the alert most worth setting. Plosbrio and Poviztra are approved in Canada and have never been sold, the earliest of them since 2025-12-22. An alert on one of those emails you the day a verified price exists for the first time.
- Is the price alert free?
